Our faculty is comprised of an elite group of handpicked, professionally trained, community minded musicians. We seek an opportunity to directly impact our communities with music through teaching and performing alike. We are solo performers, choristers, educators, conductors, clinicians, therapists, writers, ministers, and arts advocates. We reside and are active members in the communities that we serve. Teaching, networking and performing together provide opportunity for personal artistic development as well as a chance to share our passion for music.

Founded in 2006, the Da Capo
institute offers musical training in a community based,
passion driven approach via choruses, private instruction,
coaching, small ensembles and public performances. If you
live in Chesterfield or the greater Richmond area, we have
options for you!!
Tracee Prillaman -- (Founder, Director, Voice, Animato, Cantare, VIVO, Private Voice & Piano) is the institute's director and manages the day to day activities and requirements of the institute. She manages the curriculum, method and teaching guidance required by the faculty and staff as well as carrying a full studio of voice and piano students and conducting Animato, Cantare and assisting with VIVO.
Jeff Prillaman -- (Founder, Bel Canto, Advanced Voice, Coaching, Lecture, Executive Director) is responsible for the vision and overall business viability of the institute. He provides consulting and decision support to the leadership team ensuring alignment to the mission, vision and guiding principles. As a faculty member, he directs the adult learning ensemble Bel Canto, teaches advanced voice and coaches as demand is required.
Heidi Thurmond -- (Flute, Piano, VIVO) is a founding faculty member teaching both flute and piano and our lead teacher on VIVO.
Charles Lindsey -- (Principal Accompanist, Organ, Coaching, Voice) is the primary accompanist for all ensembles and studio rehearsals and performances as well as a founding faculty member in organ, piano, and voice.
Matthew Wilson - (Voice, Strings, Orchestra, Low Brass)
Rachel Goldenberg -- (Voice, Piano)
Dr. Charles Hulin IV -- (Coaching, Lecture) is a valued consultant and founding faculty member in piano.
Jessica Coaker - (VIVO, Elementary Specialist, Piano)
